CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (CPA)– KINSHASA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (DRC)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Career Options Africa Group is a HR Consultancy firm specialising in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration support in Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan.
Our client, international trade company that specializes in sourcing high-quality materials from South America and Europe and delivering them to clients across South East Asia is looking for a Certified Public Accountant to be based in DRC.
THE JOB
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and finance, with 5 to 10 years of experience in the field and will be required to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and handle tax planning and reporting.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support to management.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to a Master's degree is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for experience in the DRC.
• Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in both French and English is preferred.
